CasE Study: COreLiGht SWAG

Challenge

Convention show floors are crowed, cacophonous spaces, but they’re also a vital resource for small companies hoping to make a splash. Corelight needed to come up with swag that would not only grab people’s attention and get them to stop, but also express what our brand was all about to an insider audience.

Solution

I created two different pieces of swag that was used at major Cybersecurity tradeshows including Blackhat and RSA. The shirt “No one is above the log” was a huge hit, striking a chord amongst paranoid security experts in large part because it’s true - the log file sees all. The other item played on the term “SOC Triad,” which refers to a fundamental concept in the industry, that you need network data, device data, and a place to store it all. Thus, I came up with the “SOCk Triad - One Pair of Three Socks,” which proved to be a potent driver of badge scans and casual conversations.

(Words and concepts are my own)
